| Registration and Payment |
Please confirm your attendance by filling in the online registration form. Please note that acceptance of your abstract does not automatically register you for this conference. You still need to register and pay in order to attend the conference.
Conference fees are to be paid by credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Eurocard) via the form by the 14th March 2010. A EUR 120 supplement is added if full payment has not been received by the registration deadline.
Payments by cash and cheques are not accepted and it is not possible to pay upon arrival at the conference venue.| Reaching the Venue |
By Air: There are three airports surrounding the city. The official airport in Barcelona is El Prat airport, which concentrates the majority of the air traffic. Girona airport (at nearly 100 km from Barcelona) and Reus (at nearly 105 Km from Barcelona) specialise in low fare airlines.

From El Prat Airport to the venue:
By taxi: 25€ approx.
By Bus: Take the AEROBUS: The nearest stop to the venue coming from the Airport is Plaça Espanya. You will then need to take the metro (L3 going from Canyelles to Zona Universitaria) and after 5 stops get off at Maria Cristina station. The venue is 700 m from this stop. There is a bus every 12 minutes and the price is around 4 € (VISA is accepted; payment can be made inside the bus).
By train: Take the line 10 train (Aeroport-Barcelona) and after 3 stops get off at Estació de Sants. You will then need to take the 30 Bus at Plaça Joan Peiró (in front of the train station). After 4 stops get off at the Ecuador-Taquígraf Serra bus stop. Departures from the airport are about every 30 minutes throughout the day until about 22.30. The fare is around 2 €.

By aerobus: The nearest stop going to the airport is outside Estació de Sants. To get to Sants Station, take the Metro (Green Line L3) from Maria Cristina to Sants Station.

| How to Access the Venue |
The venues are part of a large complex located in an area of Barcelona where city communications are excellent. The complex integrates a shopping centre, two hotels, 48.000 m² of offices, a parking lot, two schools, a sport centre and a public park. The venue can be accessed in two ways; the first is from Avenida Diagonal which will take you to the centre of the complex and the second is from the road; Calle Dau i Mata (as shown on the map below).

The AXA Auditorium accommodates up to 621 people, with 326 seated on stalls and 295 in the amphitheatre. Both have an optimum view of the stage from all angles. The auditorium also has a reserved area for disabled people. The poster sessions will also be held at the auditorium in the Planta Deu i Mata meeting room which is a bright and spacious room that easily accommodates up to 160 people. |

Some of the afternoon parallel sessions will be held in NH Constanza, which is adjacent to the AXA Auditorium. The breakout rooms offer state of the art technical equipment including video, data projection, audio and lighting facilities.

Oral Presentations Keynote speakers and participants giving oral presentations must report to the speaker room a minimum of one hour before the time of their presentation. Speakers will then be taken to the technical booth where they can upload their presentations and check all technical aspects. Please note that there will be several sessions taking place simultaneously so it is important to deliver your presentation in plenty of time. Directions to the speaker room will be given on-site. Poster Presentations Poster sessions will take place between 17h30 and 19h30 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (see programme for schedule and full list). Posters can be fixed with self-adhesive tape or blu-tack onto double-sided poster panels. They should be no more than 120 cm high x 90 cm wide and it should be possible to read letters and drawings from approximately 100 cm distance. Please note that the number listed in the final programme will correspond to the poster board that authors have been allocated at the venue. Posters can be set up from 8.00am on the day of the presentation and should be removed before 8.00am the following day. |

Upon arrival, participants should register with an ESF Conference Officer, sign the attendance list and collect their name badges. Registration will be open from 08.00am on Tuesday 20th April and will be located in the main entrance of the AXA Auditorium (entrance accessible from the centre of the complex).
A conference officer will be at the registration desk from 08.00am each morning and will be present for the duration of the conference. The conference officers will be taking care of the administrative aspects and the day-to-day running of the conference: registration, issuing certificates and receipts, collection travel tickets, etc.
